Forbes Care Occupational Therapy are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to join our community team based in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast.
Our team consists of occupational therapists with a diverse range of experiences who value integrity, teamwork and client care. Our OT team are highly supported via our admin team, business manager and qualified seniors.
We are looking for those who want to:
- Continue to grow, learn and challenge their occupational reasoning and clinical thinking
- Provide fantastic results for our clients (consisting of children to adults with a disability).

Outcomes you will achieve in your role:
- Clinically robust prescription and training of a variety of Assistive Technology
- Improved life skills for your clients
- Recommendation and implementation of home modifications (minor and major)
- Clinical recommending of individual care needs through OT assessment process and reporting
- Recommendation of housing options and care supports
- Assist with the development of gross, fine, self-care, social and emotional regulation and coping skills for individuals aged 2 – 65 years.
- Assistance with transition of individuals from aged care to the community (SDA).
As community occupational therapists we work mostly in the NDIS sector to explore housing recommendations, home modifications, equipment prescription and building life skills for those with a disability.
For those who would like to join our team, the following requirements are necessary
- Proof of vaccination for COVID 19 and INFLUENZA
- Willingness to obtain NDIS worker screening check (previously blue or yellow card)
- Police Check
- Drivers Licence
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
